How you’ll make an impact in Rotation 1: FCC IT Architecture:
As a student in FCC IT Architecture, your focus will be to develop test automation for our website and web applications. You will be empowered to investigate new technologies and processes that will add value to our organization.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Participate in architecture phases and support of product development or large initiatives.
- Assist architects with their deliverables and architecture blueprints.
- Develop POCs to demonstrate architecture concepts or establish architecture guardrails.
- Contribute to non-functional requirements and performance testing.
- Assist in the maintenance of the FCC Application Portfolio collaborating with other Fidelity entities.
What we’re looking for:
- You are working towards a university degree in Computer Science or Computer/Mechatronic/System Design/Software Engineering, ideally in your 3rd or 4th year of study .
- You have a keen interest and knowledge of Web, Systems, Mobile and Low-Code development platforms.
- You have a strong understanding of programming languages or frameworks including Java, Spring, JEE, Angular, React, HTML/CSS, SQL.
- You have a good understanding of concepts relating to OO, networking, cloud, protocols, and security.
- You have working knowledge of databases, data models, schemas, and views.
- You must be currently enrolled in a registered co-op program to be considered for this position.
- You must also be available on a full-time basis for the duration of the co-op term.
How you’ll make an impact in Rotation 2: FIC IT Architecture:
As a student in FIC IT Architecture, your focus will be to develop test automation for our website and web applications. You will be empowered to investigate new technologies and processes that will add value to our organization.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Develop automated test scripts using Katalon Studios while learning about Fidelity’s business models and applications.
- Create and execute load and performance tests on newly developed applications and tools.
- Review technologies and best practices that may be beneficial to our organization.
What we’re looking for:
- You are working towards a university degree in Computer Science or Computer/Mechatronic/System Design Engineering, ideally in your 3rd or 4th year of study .
- You have a keen interest and knowledge of Web and Mobile development.
- You have a strong understanding of Internet programming languages, including Java, JavaScript, HTML/HTML5 technologies, CSS, CSS3 and jQuery libraries.
- You have previous knowledge of scripting languages such as Groovy, Python, Ruby, Perl and Linux/Unix shell would be an asset.
- You must be currently enrolled in a registered co-op program to be considered for this position.
- You must also be available on a full-time basis for the duration of the co-op term
You will be working on a flexible hybrid schedule as part of Fidelity’s dynamic working arrangement.
Current work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.
