Why This Role is Important
The District Manager position works closely with our 3rd party partner resources in the field and is responsible for achieving sales and profitability targets, driving operational excellence, and developing sales staff through recruiting, training, coaching and hands on leadership at the store level. The position is a field sales role that directly supervises Leads Advisors and Mobile Advisors. Additionally, the District Manager is required to ensure the execution of the sales programs of the company and fulfill the district’s sales, operations, and team development objectives. The position requires the incumbent to travel extensively throughout the district to conduct regular store visits.
What You'll Do:
Obtain monthly objectives for each store and lead teams to meet sales and profit targets
Align district with annual company and sales objectives by driving the company’s mission, vision and values
Recruit, train, and create succession planning for top talent within the district ensuring optimal talent in stores at all times
Ensure operational objectives are met as per company standards
Participate in weekly DM meetings or calls as scheduled
Conduct daily coaching (in person or phone) with Lead Advisors and Mobile Advisors, and completes weekly coaching logs
Monitor the Inventory Management process and reporting
Champion the Loss Prevention process to protect the organization and its customers against fraudulent activities
Review district payroll on a weekly basis to ensure accuracy
Lead by example by being a Health and Safety champion in the workplace
Liaise with Home Office on other duties as assigned by Senior Leadership
Cultivate a positive working relationship between The Mobile Shop staff and the Loblaw store employees
What You'll Need:
University Degree/College Diploma in Business or Finance or equivalent experience
Minimum 3 -5 years of leadership and management experience
Preferred knowledge of wireless markets (wireless retail experience preferred)
Wireless Telecom experience considered a strong asset
Ability to manage multiple groups and priorities in a vigorous sales environment
Strong creative, problem solving and analytical skills
Exceptional leadership and team development skills
Demonstrated ability to produce desired results by motivating and building an engaged team
Extensive travel required throughout the district; valid driver’s license required
