Why this role is important?
Lead a team of Consultant Pharmacists to ensure clinical client obligations and associated metrics are achieved. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for building proactive collaborative relationships with our clients to ensure client retention and assist with top line growth. Understand industry changes and anticipate client impact and change management needs. MediSystem aims to be the most Advanced, Dependable and Personalized senior housing pharmacy in Canada and this role will help us deliver on that mission.
What You'll Do:
Hire, coach and lead Consultant Pharmacists that manage day to day clinical responsibilities with our Long Term Care and Retirement Home clients to ensure all clinical customer commitments are met
Help build efficient work practices to ensure a high level of clinical services for our clients
Participate in financial forecasting and annual plan development related to clinical services
Manage cost centre and budget for your team
Be a leader in customer service and will be responsible for building a service culture within the Consultant Pharmacist team
Meet with clients both formally and informally to gain insights to help business/service improvements
Participate in the development of clinical initiatives in conjunction with the clinical excellence team and will be accountable in supporting the execution of these initiatives
Proactive planning and delivery of communication strategy with both internal and external stakeholders as well as planning of tactical execution strategy and tracking
Participation in project teams, communication, presentation, and reporting on key objectives and key performance indicators to both internal and external stakeholders
Present KPIs to both internal and external stakeholders
Participate in Senior Leadership meetings
Solicit client feedback on clinical services and act as an integral member of the escalation process
SOP development to operationalize clinical programs and function as a subject matter expert on clinical content and customer service to clients
What You'll Need:
Ontario Pharmacist license in good standing
5+ years of experience in the senior housing industry preferred
Strong leadership skills, demonstrated ability to managing others while adhering to company values and policies
Comfortable in dealing with ambiguity; ability to manage multiple priorities in a regulated environment.
Strong relationship building capabilities and capacity to work in a fast paced, multiple project environment
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Excellent presentation skills to both internal and external stakeholders
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
Ability to delegate responsibility
Team player and leadership skills
Computer literacy including Microsoft Office suite, email and internet, and ability to develop working knowledge of MediSystem pharmacy software programs.
Valid Ontario Drivers License, with good driving record and ability to travel throughout Ontario
