Job Description
We are actively looking for a Team Lead, QA, with automation and cloud experience, to join our growing Application Development team. You will collaborate with a variety of stakeholders in an Agile environment and will take ownership and responsibility for ensuring software quality for all Canada Goose’s products. Previous QA Lead/Management experience is essential to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with the QA, development & product management teams to design, build, implement, maintain and support test automation and CI/CD strategies
Discover, understand and document user behaviours/requirements, workflows and current/upcoming QA approaches to continuously improve test cases and strategies.
Hands-on work with Visual Studio/VSTS/Azure DevOps to develop & execute automated tests against multi-layer applications.
Lead a team of QA Automation Test Engineers to maintain and enhance automated regression test suites. Provide direction and long-term planning for the team.
Maintain a source code repository of all scripts & programs related to the automation framework & tests.
Keep informed of emerging trends in Software Quality Assurance (SQA), including QA methodologies, automation tools and best practices
Experience, Education and Designations:
A post-secondary education in Computer Science or Information Management or relevant experience
3+ years of experience leading Agile development teams
At least 3+ years of hands on test automation experience (including planning, executing and debugging)
You will need to be very strong C# coder who has experience developing testing frameworks.
Demonstrated working proficiently with a UI automation tool such as MS Coded UI, VSTS Test Manager.
Knowledge of relational database structure and usage.
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
Strong communications skills and able to interact with all levels.
Strong planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
Experience implementing multiple design patterns to solve commonly occurring problems.
Collaborative team player with a positive approach to problem solving.
Managing priorities and conflicting timelines and work in a fast paced environment.
Able to comprehend user business needs and integrate that understanding with technical skills
Understanding of Continuous integration process. Working experience with TFS\VSTS\Azure DevOps and GitHub. Understanding of different approaches to Branching and Merging strategies.
