Treasury Metals Inc. is an exploration and development company currently advancing their flagship property, the Goliath Gold Complex, through the development process. The Goliath Gold Complex has the potential to be Canada’s newest gold mine and is located close to the beautiful city of Dryden, a well-appointed community with all the amenities for raising a family and an outdoors person’s dream with fishing, hiking, biking, and skiing at its doorstep.

The Opportunity:

As an Exploration Geologist based at the Goliath Gold Complex near Dryden, ON, you will play an important role in advancing the Complex's exploration program, reporting to the Lead Geologist. Your responsibilities will include core logging, mapping, prospecting, and reporting, as part of an exploration team that is prepared for varying weather and terrain conditions. The role involves fieldwork and support for diamond drilling programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct drill core logging, mapping, prospecting, channel sampling, and associated tasks as part of the exploration program following established company procedures;
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of drilling programs as needed, including tracking drilling progress using various reporting mechanisms;
  • Complete field visits to drill sites to check drill site locations and ensure company standards are being met;
  • Utilize common exploration software (e.g., QGIS, Leapfrog, MX Deposit) for drill target generation, geologic interpretation, cost tracking, and contractor management, while also assisting in the development and maintenance of databases and models;
  • Generate detailed exploration maps, cross-sections, and 3D models, utilizing exploration and 3D software;
  • Contribute to the preparation of various exploration reports, including completing daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports. Develop reports utilizing a sequence of data compilation, analysis, and QAQC;
  • Adhere to industry best practices and processes pertinent to exploration projects, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures and QAQC mechanisms;
  • Support the cultivation of a healthy work environment with a focus on safety and accident prevention, demonstrating a personal commitment to safety, health, and environmental responsibilities;
  • Support the coordination of material requirements and communicate effectively within the Exploration team and with the Environment team as required; and
  • Maintain awareness of company policies and procedures concerning environmental protection, health, and safety, and ensure environmental performance meets or exceeds protocols.

  • Additional responsibilities or tasks as assigned.

What You Bring:

Must-Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Geology or related field from a recognized post-secondary institution;
  • Knowledge and experience with the principles and practices of geology;
  • Ability to learn industry-standard software packages (ie. MxDeposit, Leapfrog or QGIS);
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (ie. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams);
  • Physically fit for walking 5-7 kilometers for field work;
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds;
  • Ability and willingness to work in adverse weather condiÆŸons and terrain;
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills;
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet multiple and compeÆŸng deadlines;
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent computer and data management skills; and
  • Valid driver’s license (equivalent to “Class G” in Ontario).

Ideally

  • Registered membership as a Professional Geoscientist of Ontario (PGO) or eligible for and working towards such professional accreditation preferred;
  • 2 – 4 years of experience in mineral exploraÆŸon preferred, including field and diamond drilling programs;
  • Previous experience in gold deposits is considered an asset; and
  • Prior experience using exploration software such as Leapfrog, MX Deposit, and QGIS preferred. What We Offer:
