What you’ll be doing

The content team at CIBC’s Investor’s Edge is responsible for all client-facing and internal content at Investor’s Edge, CIBC’s direct investing offering. As a Writer and Editor Co-op, you’ll write content for the Investor’s Edge platform and other Investor’s Edge projects (including marketing and other communications).

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 2 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

Important information

  • You’re enrolled in a degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field at the time of the work term, with a graduation of April 2025 or later.

  • Your application must include a cover letter (maximum one page), resume, and transcripts (official or unofficial). As well, please include a writing sample with your application.

  • Work Location: Toronto.

  • Duration of work term: 8 months (September 2024 – April 2025)

How you’ll succeed

  • Relationship management – Collaborate with team members and various stakeholders to accomplish our goals.

  • Content creation – Write and edit various UX and marketing communications while following editorial standards.

  • Managing databases –  Work to maximize our questions & answers database, write, edit, and/or proofread questions and manage translations (third party), clean up folder structure, upload updates to the system.
