JOB OVERVIEW
The role of Director, Sales is responsible sales and asset retention and brand promotion of all CI Global Asset Management investment products. Acting as sales consultant to a specified territory, the Director, Sales will educate, train and motivate financial advisers and financial professionals to foster partnerships and stronger relationships, to increase CI GAM market share in the territory. The Director, Sales will also have responsibility for managing and growing their own territory with effective segmentation and coverage rotation. The role will be based in their respective regional offices as highly motivated sales professionals driving significant engagement with advisors remotely and will require travel to clients and client events within the territory as determined by business growth and sales leadership.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Grow CI Market share across all relevant investment products and platforms
Create and implement your business plan in collaboration with the Head of Distribution, for your assigned territory
Discover and explore new business opportunities via proactive sales calls with new & existing investment advisors
Advise & give value-add ideas about MCI products & services in order to support advisors in an ever-changing business environment
Provide ongoing support to dealers & brokers regarding market & fund performance, as well as review portfolio profiles
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Minimum 3 years investment industry experience, with prior internal wholesaling experience or brokerage sales experience preferred.
Full understanding of mutual funds sales practices and codes
Strong presentation skills and ability to conduct in person meetings effectively
Previous sales experience an asset
University degree
Canadian Securities Course
CFP, CIM, and/or CFA an asset
Extensive knowledge of investment themes and products
Extensive knowledge of investment industry
Able to make quick and appropriate decisions, while constantly work within the regulatory framework
WORKING CONDITIONS
Travel required to road shows, conferences, seminars and industry events
Required to work beyond normal working hours
Normal office environment
