Heavy Equipment Operator Waste Transfer Station – Night shift

*Job Summary*
Draglam Waste is seeking a responsible individual for utilizing equipment such as excavators, front-end loaders.
Regular working hours: 9:00 pm - 9:00 am (may require starting earlier or later depending on customer/company requirements).
Overtime required during peak periods and when workload necessitates.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Able to communicate with dispatch/order desk on job orders, product specifications; plan material production and execute product distribution.
* Organize and maintain an obstructive-free work area.
* Safely operate and maintain all machinery/equipment.
* Perform pre-operational checks, verify all fluid levels, grease daily, observe all gauges and meters on all machinery/equipment.
* Perform basic machine adjustments, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
* Must be able to work within a 55 km radius from Bowes Road.
* Travel to other sites may be required on occasion.
*Qualifications*
* Communicate efficiently and act in a professional and courteous manner.
* Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language.
* Able to work well independently as well as part of a team.
* Cultivate and maintain an attitude focused on personally performing to contribute to the highest level of achievement in customer satisfaction via the communication and work; products and services the company provides to its clients.
* Exercise regular visual concentration in the use of all equipment.
* Sustain working outdoors and exposure to temperature and extreme climate (hot, dry, windy, rainy, cold, wet).
