The vehicle preparer is responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, inspecting and preparing vehicles in accordance with our Assured Clean Commitment to ensure that all vehicles rented from the branch are clean and safe.
Responsibilities
• Clean and disinfect the interior of vehicles in accordance with the standards of the Assured Cleanliness Commitment
• Vacuum and prepare the interior of the vehicle in accordance with the standards of the Assured Cleanliness Commitment
• Wash and dry the exterior of the vehicle
• Check fuel level and warning lights: inspect windshield for damage; restoring vehicle settings to erase previous customer data; check the vehicle for any forgotten customer items and place them in the lost property section; check that the vehicle registration papers are present, up-to-date and match the license plate
• Check fluid levels and add as needed; check tire condition and pressure; inspect the exterior of the vehicle for damage
• Fill up with fuel and place the rental-ready car in the parking lot
• Inspect the vehicle for any safety issues; report any warning lights and/or damage to the vehicle, windshield and tires; remove the vehicle from the preparation process if necessary
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and report any unsafe conditions
• Responsible for wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and availability of cleaning and disinfection products
• Assist customers when needed. Pick up and accompany customers on occasion
• Help maintain the general appearance of the branch, including interior and exterior cleaning
• Branch appearance responsibilities should include: desktops, counters, telephones, floor, garbage, bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping, and other miscellaneous the daily cleanliness of the branch
Additional Responsibilities
• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skills development, training, and personal goal setting
• Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality
• Perform various job-related tasks as assigned
Skills
• Have at least 24 months of driving experience
• Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 traffic offenses on driving record in the past two years
• Must not have an impaired driving (drug or alcohol) conviction in the past 5 years
• Must be authorized to work in Canada and not require company sponsorship now or in the future
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds<
