PPSA ADMINISTRATION SPECIALIST

Entry Level, Early Career
This position will be responsible for the preparation and registration of our interests under the applicable personal property security legislation (“PPSA/RDPRM”) related to the financing of retail and wholesale financing transactions to our customers in accordance with company procedures set out from time to time.

This position includes registrations filing, discharges, amendments, search and waivers in support of the retail and wholesale departments.

The PPSA Administration Specialist will also be responsible for performing routine administrative tasks in support of the Company’s due diligence and compliance programs including but not limited to processing and monitoring of compliance searches and administering reports.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • PPSA / RDPRM registration, perfection of security and administration for the Canadian portfolio.
  • PPSA / RDPRM Search review and Waivers as required.
  • Perform discharges/amendments/renewals under the PPSA, RDPRM and Bank Act as appropriate.
  • Process 3rd party waiver requests and maintain PPSA Waiver Log Report.
  • Interface closely with the Sales, Credit, Wholesale, Legal and Customer Account Specialists.
  • Monthly tracking of various PPSA/RDPRM quality measurements and controls.
  • Review of Monthly Asset Province Change Report
  • Review of Monthly Dealer Commission Report
  • Support of the Company’s due diligence and compliance programs including but not limited to processing and monitoring of compliance searches and administering reports
  • Maintain electronic files.
  • Provide support to the Operations department as may be required
  • Other duties and projects as assigned by immediate manager

  • 2-3 years PPSA / RDPRM experience, preferably in the banking, equipment leasing or other asset backed financial services industry
  • Good working knowledge of PPSA / RDPRM / Bank Act an asset.
  • Community College or University graduate

  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and work effectively on multiple tasks in a fast paced, demanding environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate both internally and externally.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated computer skills & MS Office proficiency
  • Bilingual (French/English) would be an asset.
