Analyst, Promo Allocatons
The role of Analyst, Promo Allocations is responsible to review the projected forecasts on all regular promotional items and seasonal programs. They will determine the correct amount of inventory is allocated and pushed to the stores based on store specific sales history, mapping, and seasonality impacts. The analyst will provide the analytics to support the gap in projections between category and allocations while ensuring that both sales are maximized, and inventory is minimized.
Accountabilities:
Forecasting
Provide forecast reviews on all regular promotional items and seasonal programs
Provide an item specific total sales forecast review with the category teams
Provide analytics to review large discrepancy between the category sales projection and actual performance
Provide direction on preferred merchandising vehicles to allocate (case inventory vs DRP)
Process Management
Determine item allocation according to store specific sales history, mapping and seasonality impacts, spread across all available buckets
Validate DRP opportunities
If no item history is available, items are allocated according to the sales history of similar items and/or category history
Ensure all store records are up to date for allocations to be complete
Adjust store specific allocations according to current on-hand inventory
Forecast inventory rate of depletion
Adjust allocations in specific cases based on feedback from the District Manager, Customer Experience Specialist, or the Store Manager
Review items sell through and propose action for increased or decreased purchases to optimize store sales and inventory
Review Ad Change requests to ensure that items are purchased or cancelled
Customer Experience/Management
Partner with Category & Supply Chain Teams to review promotional sales strategies, logistics and planning
Follow-up with the Supply Chain on inventory that did not deliver to stores
Create an alternative supply plan if product is not available
Generate and action postmortem reports to ensure excess inventory is addressed in a timely fashion
Role Requirements:
Post-secondary education in Business or Economics or related field
Detail oriented and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical and communication skills
Team player and focus on a team-oriented environment
MS Office (Specifically Excel)
Knowledge of JDA & SAP an asset
