Remote Human Resources Director
Position Status: Permanent Full Time - Remote
Hours of Work: Monday – Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm
Salary: $150,000 - $165,000
Position Overview:
The Director, Human Resources plays a critical role in building organizational capability, growing talent, and fostering a respectful and supportive culture across the NTT BPO organization. The Director, Human Resources guarantees informed, innovative, and consistent strategic HR practices that lead to the implementation of NTT BPO’s people strategy – designed to positively influence the culture of the organization, enrich the workplace experience, and provide exceptional and consistent stakeholder service.
In addition to strategic HR support, the incumbent will execute streamlined and scalable HR operations strategies to improve the employee and management experience, and ensure the right tools and structures are in place. The aim is to ensure smooth operations of day-to-day employee lifecycle events and processes.
This role maintains a superior level of HR skills, knowledge, and expertise, with the latest trends and best practices. The Director, Human Resources understands the finances and business factors that shape how HR strategies should be developed, implemented, and sustained to have a positive impact on the bottom line.
Additionally, this role ensures that all members of the international Human Resources team are equipped with the right skills, tools, and talents necessary to be strategic thought partners to their assigned clients and provide day to day leadership, direction and consultative support to employees and management.
Responsibilities:
Creates, administers, and monitors annual HR Strategic Business Plan and accompanying budget.
Provides strategic leadership, expertise, and guidance to HR team equipping them to build strong, productive relationships with their stakeholders through stellar inquiries and creative solutions
Provides proactive and strategic guidance and support for organizational planning and development initiatives that align the human resources agenda in support of key business strategies and initiatives
Drives an effective client-service HR team that instills company-wide trust and value for the HR function
Contributes to the overall success of Human Resources activities ensuring specific individual goals, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives
Leads the HR team, providing guidance and coaching for team members and encourage continuous learning and improvement
Develops and maintains trusting and mutually beneficial working partnerships internally and externally, positively representing NTT BPO
Leverages workforce insights and analytics to focus business’s leaders on relevant people management issues while assessing potential strategies and solutions
Provides coaching, advice, and conflict resolution support to the leadership team on people management issues and their impact on performance.
Understands and interprets HR related laws and precedent; advise the business on their application to reduce risk
Project manages the revision and innovation of HR related policies and procedures, implementing these into the fabric of the organization to deliver a consistent, reliable service to employees and managers
Drives annual bonus and compensation cycles including researching marketplace trends, developing internal strategy, and managing all aspects of the review process
Drives annual performance management cycle to coincide with annual compensation cycle for the entire organization
Interprets benefit policies and counsels on issues. Provides support to national HR team in administration of overall benefit plans. Liaises with carriers and brokers, undertakes interventions as required
Leads HR team in facilitation of the Disability Claims Management process and program
Makes recommendations and assists in the development and implementation of new benefit programs and services.
Develops and manages relevant rewards and recognition programs that are in support of NTT BPO culture and values
Develops and manages strategic/tactical plans for regular surveying of employees through external partner(s). Evolves appropriate programs and services from data received. Coordinates and facilitates subsequent action planning across organization.
Creates and implements organizational diversity and inclusion policy
Provides leadership and stewardship over corporate Health and Safety program. Drives program out in regions through national HR team
Working closely with internal communications team, provides regular stream of relevant employee communication that address status of organization, new priorities, HR information, roll out of programs etc.
Requirements:
10+ years of experience as an HR trusted advisor, preferably in a BPO environment
5+ years of proven experience leading and building a team
Demonstrated success in strategic thinking, planning and implementation
Bachelor’s degree or related discipline or equivalent experience
Postgraduate and/or CHRP designation a strong asset
Demonstrated leadership and people management capabilities
Proven innovator and trusted advisor, with the passion and energy for uplifting HR’s contribution to the business
Deep knowledge of full-cycle HR—not inclusive list includes recruitment, training, compensation, management development, performance management, etc.
Strong team player, known for building partnerships to accomplish goals
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Strong understanding of business concepts, employee relations and HR knowledge
Skill in coaching for high performance
Strong application of collaboration and decision-making skills
Project Management and Change Management skills
This role is responsible for communicating and interacting with individuals from across the organization.
Collaboration with business leaders, team managers at both a strategic and tactical level
