We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Manager, Resource Protection (Support Services) to join our Resource Protection team at our Langley, BC, Gloucester Office.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Security and Product Integrity, you will be responsible for the implementation and ongoing administrative support for all aspects of the Protective Services Department, or as required by other sections of the Resource Protection Department. The position is also accountable for our Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) program.
You will be responsible for:
Recruiting for Protective Services Guards (PSG) and other vacancies within the department; ensuring candidates obtain or possess proper security licensing.
Training and developing team members on our policies, procedures and legal aspects and facilitating in-house learning courses or programs.
Coordination and delivery of M.O.A.B (Management of Aggressive Behaviour) courses.
Completing weekly payroll for Resource Protection Personnel.
Tracking and coding invoices, conducting inventory audits and accounting for costs.
Working with Regional Supervisors and Senior Management to ensure all policies and procedures are current.
Building reports to provide statistics for, including but not limited to resignation, termination, WCB claims, criminal records, ATP, refusals, and critical incidents.
Reporting and presenting on KPI’s to Regional Supervisors and Senior Management.
Completing exit interviews when required for PSG’s.
Department EAS program, including budgeting, recruitment, policy, and training and development.
Diagnosing and repairing EAS technologies in the field when necessary.
Updating the internal intranet (WIKI) information and contact management.
Maintaining the in-house criminal charge database and other department record keeping as required.
You have:
A minimum of 3 years Security Supervisory experience, investigative experience, or combination of both in a Resource Protection Department, or similar qualification.
Must possess and/or obtain a valid provincial security workers license.
Prior experience and knowledge of the Save-On-Foods Resource Protection Programs considered an asset.
Must be able to work flexible hours and travel throughout Western Canada when required, sometimes on short notice.
M.O.A.B (Management of Aggressive Behaviour) instructor certification.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Operating knowledge of the STAR (payroll) program, Workday and Service Now would be an asset.

Able to demonstrate a high degree of discretion, tact, diplomacy, and integrity while handling and managing confidential or sensitive information.
