Graduate Chemical Engineer

As part of the Worley Graduate Community and work under the guidance of experienced professionals within our Engineering department, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of process engineering services, gaining hands-on experience, and contributing to impactful projects in the energy and chemical sectors.  Works under supervision and all work is reviewed on completion.

This is a full-time position based in one of our Canadian offices – Vancouver BC, Calgary AB, or Markham ON. 

This position is anticipated to start January 2025 or May/June 2025.

Responsibilities:

  • Engineering Support: Assist in delivering process engineering services that meet Worley’s and our customers’ standards, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Design & Analysis: Contribute to engineering studies, analyses, and design efforts. Assist in preparing detailed designs, drawings, specifications, data sheets, calculations, and technical reports.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Effectively communicate with the process engineering team and project stakeholders, including customers, to ensure successful project execution.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and address engineering issues as they arise, develop solutions, and seek assistance when necessary.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of process engineering principles and basic knowledge of other engineering disciplines.
  • Software Skills: Developing proficiency in process engineering-specific software and general tools such as the MS Office Suite.
  • Industry Experience: While not required, prior experience through internships, co-op programs, or vacation placements in an engineering environment is highly valued.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Required: A Bachelor's degree in Chemical, or Process Engineering (or a closely related field) from an accredited institution, with the eligibility to pursue Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensure.  One remaining semester is acceptable.
  • Willing to self-relocate to the one of the designated Worley office location areas. 

For applicants based in the province of British Columbia, the salary range is $65,165 to $95,831. Application of the pay band: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.  #LI-NM4
