Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Conduct various types of marine fish and fish habitat assessments.
  • Collection and analysis of marine biological, chemical, and physical data.
  • Preparation and execution of technical reports.
  • Adhere to safe working practices and policies.
  • Field work and travel for various field programs, as required.
  • Travel as required for various field programs.

Qualifications

  • May have Internship experience related to either environment science, biology, or aquatic sciences.
  • Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.
  • Ability to work in the field and carry out challenging programs in all weather conditions.
  • Willing to self-relocate to the one of the designated Worley office location areas. 
  • Recognized Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Marine Biology, or related field from an accredited university or college. One remaining semester is acceptable. 

Additional information:

As part of the Worley Graduate Community and under supervision and mentorship within the Environment & Society (E&S) Service Line, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of environmental planning, monitoring and management including marine, atmospherics, terrestrial, and aquatics projects.  All work will be under the supervision of Project Managers and reviewed on completion.

This is a full-time position based in a designated Worley office in Calgary, AB, Vancouver BC, or Markham ON.

Position is anticipated to start January 2025 or June 2025.

For applicants based in the province of British Columbia, the salary range is $53,699 to $78,969. Application of the pay band: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
