YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
 

Reporting to the Mill Mechanical General Supervisor, you will be part of the Process Plant Maintenance Department. This role is specifically designed to develop the successful candidate into a licensed Professional Engineer, supporting a long-term career at Agnico Eagle. You will support operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement while learning and growing in a dynamic mining environment. 

 

  • Assist with daily mechanical engineering tasks related to the process plant fixed equipment maintenance, including data collection, analysis, and reporting 

  • Support the planning, design, and scheduling of maintenance activities for process plant equipment. 

  • Collaborate with operations, engineering and other related disciplines to optimize maintenance performance. 

  • Participate in safety initiatives and promote a culture of safety and responsibility.  

  • Contribute to environmental stewardship and compliance efforts.  

  • Engage in continuous improvement projects and support technology adoption.  

  • Learn to use mechanical engineering and maintenance management software and tools.  

  • Take part in training and development opportunities to build your technical and leadership skills.  

  • Benefit from mentorship and guidance to progress towards professional engineering licensure. 

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (graduated within the last 2 years or soon to graduate).  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  
  • Effective communicator and team player.  
  • Eager to learn, adapt, and contribute in a fast-paced environment.  

  • Commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and Agnico Eagle’s values.  

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI. 

Your Work Schedule:

  • Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.

  • You must be willing to work on a rotational schedule at a remote mine site.
