Reporting to the Health and Safety General Supervisor, you will be part of the Health and Safety Department. This role is specifically designed to develop the successful candidate into a Health & Safety professional, supporting a long-term career at Agnico Eagle. You will support operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement while learning and growing in a dynamic mining environment.
- Assist with health & safety related tasks, including inspections, audits, incident investigations and reporting.
- Support the development, implementation and review of health & safety programs and policies.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance and other teams to promote a strong safety culture.
- Participate in safety meetings, training sessions and toolbox talks.
- Participate in safety initiatives and promote a culture of safety and responsibility.
- Contribute to environmental stewardship and compliance efforts.
- Engage in continuous improvement projects and support technology adoption.
- Learn to use health & safety related software and tools.
- Take part in training and development opportunities to build your technical and leadership skills.
- Benefit from mentorship and guidance to progress towards professional Health & Safety certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Health, Environmental Science or a related field (graduated within the last 2 years or soon to graduate).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communicator and team player.

Your Work Schedule:

Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.

You must be willing to work on a rotational schedule at a remote mine site.
