Impala Canada is the owner and operator fo the Lac Des Iles Mine, located 90 minutes northwest of Thunder Bay, Ontario. In operation for 30+ years, the LDI Mine is one of only two pure palladium sources in North America. Palladium contributes to a cleaner global environment, with its leading use being in catalytic converters that reduce harmful emissions from gas-powered and hybrid vehicles.
The LDI Mine features a unique ore body and moder infrastructure, including underground and surface mining and mill operations. The LDI Mine is in the Robinson-Superior Treaty territory, and the land on which we operate is the traditional territory of the Anishnaabeg and the Me'tis. Job Description:
The individual is responsible for the preparation for advancement of development headings.
They must demonstrate proficiency operating Maclean Botlter and or Jumbo, jackleg, stoper, installing ground support, drilling safety bays advancing services , mucking and prepping faces, loading and blasting development headings, and perform other dutuiesw as reuqired and assigned by the supervisor.
All task must be completed following company procedures, government regulations and manufactures speculations.
Qualifications:
Employees must have a working knowledge and skills in Development MIning.
Promotes safety and follows company procedures.
Ability to work in a safe and productive manner and to safetly direct the activities of less skilled employees.
Ability to understand and follow instructions.
Housekeeping and quality, professional results.
Some Specialty Moduel training requires prerequisite moduels that might not be listed.
MTCU guidelines will be followed

Meals are provided while at the mine site.
