Mine Engineering Co-op Placement - Student -
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mine Engineering Co-op Student to join our team for an 8-month work term. This opportunity will provide hands-on experience in a dynamic mining environment, allowing the student to apply their academic knowledge to real-world mining challenges. The successful candidate will work closely with our mining engineering team to support mine planning, production and operational optimization initiatives.
This role will be based at our Côté Gold mine site (Gogama, Ontario) on a 14 on, 14 off schedule.
Key Areas of Responsibility & Duties:
- Assist in mine planning, design, and optimization under the guidance of experienced engineers.
- Support short-term and long-term production scheduling.
- Conduct field inspections and data collection to support operational improvements.
- Assist in drill and blast planning, including data analysis and reporting.
- Utilize mining software for data analysis, mapping, and reporting.
- Monitor key performance indicators and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Participate in geotechnical and hydrogeological assessments.
- Contribute to safety and environmental initiatives by following company policies and procedures.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation as required.
Qualifications & Skill Requirements
Minimum Qualifications, Formal Education, Certifications or Equivalents
- Currently enrolled in a Mine Engineering, or related post-secondary degree program.
- Must be registered in a recognized co-op or internship program.

- Ability to work in field conditions.
