IT PMO & Support Intern

Are you ready to kick-start your career in project management and technology? We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated IT PMO & Support Intern to join our Corporate Technology team in Toronto. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in managing IT projects and supporting the execution of strategic initiatives within the Technology department. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Planning & Governance, the intern will be responsible for assisting with the tracking of project plans, coordinating and facilitating project status meetings and ensuring relevant project delivery reporting is properly classified and stored in MS Teams and/or SharePoint.
What You’ll Do:

Collaborate with project managers to track timelines, deliverables, and milestones.

Maintain and update essential project documentation, such as charters, schedules, and resource plans.

Compile and deliver status reports and presentations for stakeholders and senior leadership.

Assist in identifying and managing project risks, issues, and changes.

Conduct research and gather data to evaluate project performance and identify improvement areas.

Prepare documentation for project governance reviews.

Participate in PMO meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements.

Support the maintenance of project management tools and systems.

Provide general administrative assistance to project teams.

Engage in professional development opportunities to build your project management skills.
What We’re Looking For:

Currently pursuing a post-secondary education in Information Technology, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.

Basic understanding of project management principles and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).

Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project) is a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Collaboration Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).

Detail-oriented with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines.

A team player who thrives in collaborative environments but can also work independently.
