Reporting to the Manager, Exploration Ontario Region, you will be part of the Exploration Department. You will provide administrative support for Exploration, as well as mining claims assistance to the Surface Exploration Group as needed and ensure that the Exploration Office business is carried out in an orderly and timely manner. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Provide administrative support including office management, photocopying, scanning, vacation time entry, filing, memoranda, taking notes for select meetings as required, and geological data entry;
- Handle shipping and receiving of materials for the Exploration office;
- Create POs (in SAP) for exploration expenditures to support Exploration office personnel and assist with maintaining the Exploration office budget;
- Assist with travel and accommodation bookings for site personnel;
- Maintain an efficient filing system for contracts, invoices, expense accounts, PO tracking, department office supplies, etc;
- Assist to ensure exploration invoices get to proper personnel for approval;
- Assist the Lands Manager with MNDM claim ownership research and patent searches for surface and mining rights;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Post-secondary Office Administration or business-related diploma;
- A minimum of 3-5 years of previous experience, preferably in a similar role supporting a Mining or Exploration group;
- Experience in JD Edwards and/or SAP is an asset;
- Highly developed communication and organizational skills;
- Ability to organize and prioritize work;
- Able to work efficiently as part of a team and independently;
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
Your Work Schedule:
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, at our Timmins Regional Office, Sudbury or North Bay offices. Occasional visits to site may also be required.
