The Opportunity
We are currently seeking Engineering and Science Co-op Students to join various Engineering Teams across our Canadian Operations. Student placements will be in our Sudbury Ontario, Port Colbourne Ontario, and Thompson Manitoba sites.
These opportunities are fixed term co-op positions, ranging from 4-12 months in duration, beginning in either January or May of 2025.

As an Engineering or Science Coop student you will be provided with an opportunity that will allow you to gain valuable experience, knowledge and be a part of shaping our mining operations.
Additionally, in this position you will:
- Follow Vale’s Safety Policies, Programs and Legislative Standards
- Develop skills and abilities related to the provision of engineering in Ontario and Manitoba
- Ensure compliance to the applicable laws, standards and guidelines
- Provide technical support to enable safe and efficient operations in an industrial plant, mine or production laboratory.
- Maintain demonstrate open and clear dialogue in all aspects of work
About You
Education:
We are looking for students currently enrolled and in good standing in an Engineering or Science University Co-op program, in any of the following fields:
- Chemical

- Mechanical
- Metallurgical
- Materials
- Environmental
- Civil

- Mining
Skills:
- Demonstrate good written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 products; Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook
