Position Description 

We are seeking a skilled Total Rewards Specialist to join our Human Resources team. The Total Rewards Specialist is responsible for administering our company’s total rewards program, including benefits, retirement, compensation, employee programs and leaves.

Overall, the Total Rewards Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring that the organization's total rewards programs are competitive, compliant, and aligned with its business objectives. They work closely with HR leadership to deliver comprehensive rewards programs that attract, retain, and engage top talent.

While TTI Canada believes and offers flexibility, this role is an in-office position based out of our North York Head Office, which is the center of TTI’s culture. As a key driver of TTI’s culture you need to be where the action is!

 

What You Will Do 

The Total Rewards Specialist is the key resources in the delivery of the TTI Canada Total Rewards program, including but not limited to:

  • Conducts market research to ensure the organization's salary and compensation packages remain competitive, while maintaining salary structures and job classifications.

  • Administers processes such as annual salary reviews, merit increases, and bonus allocations.

  • Administers employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives, while collaborating with vendors to ensure smooth administration and resolve issues.

  • Administers employee recognition programs to foster a culture of appreciation and recognize outstanding performance and contributions, while evaluating the effectiveness of existing recognition initiatives and suggests improvements.

  • Administers company leave programs, including sick leave, vacation, parental and disability. Providing guidance to employees and managers, while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

  • Stays updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends related to compensation and benefits.

  • Ensures compliance with legal requirements and internal policies in all total rewards practices.

  • Supports audits and assessments related to compensation and benefits programs.

 

What You Have Done

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced certification (e.g., Certified Compensation Professional, Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) preferred.

  • 3 to 5 years experience in total rewards administration, including compensation, benefits, and recognition programs, with knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements in Canada

  • Proficiency with HR systems (Workday  preferred) and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-change, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
