Who can join?

Students from universities and colleges across Canada from any major! We also welcome new grads who have graduated after 2020. Join as a team or an individual and we will make a team for you.

What challenge will we solve?

Student teams will come up with solutions for the Insurance industry on Risk Management! Further themes will include risk management applications in technology, climate, organizational behavior, and consumer perceptions.

What are the time requirements?

Participants will join for a fun pre-event social, mentor check in, then tackle the hack on April 28th and 29th from 9:00-5:00 p.m. EST. Solutions will be submitted over the weekend and the wrap up event will take place on Monday May 2nd from 1:00-2:30 p.m. EST.

Why should I join?

The hackathon is a fun way to learn about Design Thinking, meet and networking with other students and Insurance industry professionals, develop your soft skills and have a great experience to add to your resume! Participants will receive a certificate of completion for attending.

Plus… your team could win either $1000, $500 or $250 cash, and additional career building prizes.
