Volunteer with Family Kinnections – Gain Experience in Children’s Mental Health!

Are you an education, psychology, or child studies student (or recent grad) who’s passionate about supporting kids and families?

Looking to gain real experience in children’s mental health while building your skills (and your resume)?

Family Kinnections is looking for a volunteer to help us grow our programs and support local families. This is a chance to:

• Get hands-on experience helping us develop and deliver programs for kids and parents

• Gain direct service experience in a children’s mental health environment

• Receive mentorship and training from experienced professionals

• Build your skills in research, social media, and program development to create resources and program content

What we’re looking for:

• A university student or graduate (education, psychology, child studies, or a related field)

• Comfortable doing literature reviews and searches

• Social media savvy

• Familiar with (or open to learning) generative AI tools like ChatGPT and Canva AI

• Passionate about supporting kids and families
• Recent (6 month) clear vulnerable sector screen required

This is a volunteer position with flexible hours and lots of learning opportunities — and it’s a great way to build your experience for future roles in education, social work, mental health, or program development.
