Operations Manager - Odihi

ODIHI. We are an empowerment and resource community for Black, Indigenous, and Marginalized women and girls of color looking to develop the necessary skills to walk the career path of their dreams. Odihi aims to equip these women and girls to live an unapologetically bold life through an all-in-one supportive network and community filled with positive role models and free resources.

We are looking for a competent operations manager to join our growing team, think strategically, and bring ideas to the table of opportunities we haven’t seen or taken advantage of to drive the business forward.

You will undertake a variety of administrative and program management tasks. You will help plan, coordinate, and organize programs and activities and carry out important operational duties.

To take on this exciting role, you need to be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and strategic-minded. Using your innovative and imaginative approach to program development, you'll work closely with the Leadership Team to understand their plans and ambitions and translate these into innovative and impactful program management. 

This position requires someone with a positive attitude and readiness to be a team player. We are looking for an individual with great communication, time management, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

 

Key Requirements and Duties:

  • Administrative support (managing email and calendars, scheduling meetings, and working closely with the ED) Support planning and coordination of a program and its activities

  • Ensure implementation of program practices

  • Maintain budget and track expenditures/transactions on Monday Software

  • Manage communications through media relations, Newsletter, Discord and communication platform

  • Help build positive relations within the team and external parties

  • Schedule and organize meetings/events and maintain agenda

  • Prepare paperwork and order material

  • Keep updated records and create reports or proposals

  • Support growth and program development

 

Skills Requirement:

  • Great writing and communication skills
  • Experience with operations management 
  • Knowledge of budgeting and Admin 
  • Ability to work with diverse and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and efficient
  • Tech Savvy, proficient with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Outlook, Canva, Google Suite (Monday, Discord can be trained)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and available to work independently
