Multimedia Graphic Designers - Volunteer Positions - Farmwork to Feed Canada

Passionate about food and concerned about Canada's food supply and food security?

Farmwork to Feed Canada is seeking a number of talented individuals to design, produce and edit a variety of video, graphic art and communications materials for use on the Farmwork to Feed Canada website and social channels.

Farmwork to Feed Canada (www.farmworktofeedcanada.ca) is a volunteer effort by Canadian communications, public relations and marketing professionals. We collaborate with the agriculture and agri-business sector and offer farmers, farm groups and the food industry communications expertise and a forum to foster greater public awareness on key issues related Canada’s food supply and food security.

Through this initiative, we are also assisting students and new graduates to gain real-world experience, expand their portfolios, and benefit from working with and learning from seasoned professionals who are willing to act as mentors and references.

Opportunity - Volunteer Multimedia Graphic Designers

Farmwork to Feed Canada is currently seeking junior, intermediate and senior Multimedia Graphic Designers for our Digital Team made up of dedicated team members from across Canada.

Our multimedia graphic designers develop custom video, graphic art and multimedia material for uploading to our website or social channels. The goal is to increase public awareness by expanding Farmwork to Feed Canada’s multimedia and digital presence as part of the overall digital strategy and communications plan.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Premiere, Photoshop) and/or other common design and layout applications.
• Experience shooting footage and editing video for use on websites and social channels.
• NOTE: Must have own video equipment, and graphic design and video editing programs.
• Strong proofreading and detail-oriented skills.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines
• Able to work independently as well as in partnership with other volunteers

Level of Commitment

• Remote work, home-based, approximately 8 hours / week 
• Participation in weekly team call required
