Role Summary
As a Chapter Lead, you will play a pivotal role in energizing and expanding your local Tech2Step chapter. You’ll organize dynamic networking events, engage with local members, and serve as an ambassador for Tech2Step's mission in your region. This is your chance to make an immediate, visible impact in your community!
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and facilitate monthly or weekly in-person networking events to bring people together, share knowledge, and foster growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with members, ensuring they feel valued, heard, and connected to the broader community.
- Actively promote Tech2Step’s events and initiatives across social media platforms to engage both members and the tech community at large.
- Collaborate with other Chapter Leads to exchange strategies, ideas, and best practices for chapter success.
- Regularly report local chapter needs and achievements to Tech2Step’s leadership team to support continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to engage people across different platforms.
- A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in tech, and a passion for building a thriving, supportive network.
- Independent, proactive, and able to take the lead in organizing and managing events.
- Previous experience in event planning, community management, or project coordination is highly desirable.
