Volunteer Opportunity: Camp Sunshine Set Up and Clean Up
Location: Camp Sunshine, Ward's Island, Toronto ON
Dates: May 6th to May 10th, 2024
Time: 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Camp Sunshine is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to assist with the essential tasks of setting up and cleaning up our campsite for the upcoming season. Your efforts will ensure a welcoming and comfortable environment for seniors to enjoy enriching experiences and create lasting memories. Join us in making a difference from May 6th to May 10th, between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM each day or based on your availability for each day.
Tasks Include:
1. Cleaning Up the General Camp Area:
- Remove debris and litter from common areas.
- Ensure cleanliness and tidiness throughout the campsite.
2. Sweeping and Mopping:
- Sweep floors in activity areas, dining spaces, washrooms, and common rooms.
- Mop floors to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
3. Washing Windows:
- Clean windows to allow ample natural light into indoor spaces.
- Ensure clear visibility for seniors to enjoy the surrounding views.
4. Light Gardening Tasks:
- Assist in gardening activities such as planting, watering, and weeding.
- Help maintain the camp's garden spaces to enhance the overall ambiance.
5. Setting Up and Clearing Furniture:
- Arrange furniture in activity areas, dining halls, and outdoor spaces.
- Assist in clearing furniture after events or activities.
