Inside Technical Sales Associate
- Plan work to ensure all process steps are carried out according to policy including - estimated sales pricing, quotation, quote follow up, quote conversion, management of orders, ordering parts, communicating to operation of customer requirements, operation follow up for customer orders, until final scheduled shipping.
- Communicate weekly report for all responsible quotes and orders following company policies to manager and ensure all customers are supported effectively.
- Maximize use of time to manage daily orders and inquiries to ensure minimization of delay for all customer orders.
- Actively follow up of all purchases, services and orders using technology, liaison skills and experience, etc.
- Ability to demonstrate the company’s commitment to quality as often as possible with or without additional team support for all aspect of the position.
- Plan daily activities efficiently to minimize off hours or weekend activities and support in the case of customer emergency interaction is required.
- Ensure customer’s account information in the company’s computer system is up to date and legible with accurate contact information annually to avoid unnecessary delay to deliver to customers’ facilities or invoicing.
- Follow up on all quotes promptly and timely reply to customer requests. All written quotations are required to follow up on a regular basis (after quote sent, 24 hours after, 72 hours after and weekly after until 30 days).
- Prompt investigation and resolution of customer complaints to ensure customer satisfaction is achieve after confirmation of complaint is legitimate and justified in accordance to company policies. Understand all company sales terms & conditions, pricing strategy and credit policies and procedures to ensure all proper processes are being followed and applied.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions on sales-related orders and develop method to manage information properly.
- Maintain purchasing system and monitor outstanding purchase orders. Reconcile with company Controller to ensure inventory level is maintained.
- Develop a comprehensive knowledge of all services, products and its application in order to recognize the item that will benefit our customer.
- Develop knowledge of customers’ specialties, needs, personnel preferences, organizational structure and financial position in their respective industrial sector before pricing for orders.
- Develop product knowledge from competing companies to ensure best value is provided to our customer that can be translated to orders.
- Analyze the order priority frequently, using sales summaries, will review monthly to determine relative status and adjust activities accordingly.
- Present to customer politely and professionally with a clean, neat and reasonably formal appearance on all situation.
- Able to build robust rapport with current and potential customers by telephone, fax, email and other correspondence.
- Ability to handling sales calls and website inquiries.
- Responding to customer requests, including identifying customer needs and by presenting new and better products.
- Update job knowledge by studying product specifications, industry publications and participating in educational opportunities.
- Successful track record in an inside sales positions, ability to meet demanding customer’s expectations and exhibit excellent skills in customer account management.
- Bachelor degree with sales, industry and professional experience.
- Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude would be an asset.
- Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a repair & service organization with a vast customer base.
- Capable of understanding client applications in various industries and identify sales opportunities within.
- Knowledge of electric equipment, fluid technology or rotating equipment and motor/power transmission types would be an asset.
- Must demonstrate exceptional customer interface, project management skills and exercise team player approach using excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Must possess strong communication and presentation skills to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFQs and when submitting quotations.
- Self-motivated team player with ability to work in multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment at times.
- Excellent command written and spoken of the English language.
- Excellent technical aptitude, networking skills, prospecting and problem solving skills with a proactive, hands-on attitude.
- Experience with sales tracking system is an asset.
Computer literate, including Web Browsing and MS Office (Excel, Word & Outlook)
