The successful candidate will be responsible for developing planning and implementing activities to increase equipment efficiency and reliability to positively impact operational production and to reduce maintenance costs.
Your primary Responsibilities will include the following:
- Working closely with operating and maintenance personnel, you will provide predictive and preventative maintenance support, failure analysis, root cause determination and the implementation of continuous improvement strategies using accepted best practices.
- The successful candidate will provide support with respect to equipment modifications, capital projects, maintenance support for shutdowns, troubleshooting, and working with outside contractors and specialists while also providing engineering support.
- The successful candidate will ensure compliance to internal and external policies, procedures and regulations and to assist external auditors such as the TSSA and other groups as required.
- This is a salary position paying in the range of $80,000 to $100,000 depending on qualifications plus an annual bonus of 10%, flexible medical and dental benefits, defined contribution pension plan and full relocation assistance.
Your team:
Reporting to the Planning and Reliability Manager, you will be part of a results-oriented team whose members are encouraged to exceed expectations.
Your profile:
- Electrical engineering degree required, coupled with at least 3 years of work experience within an industrialized manufacturing setting.
- The ideal candidate will possess an excellent working knowledge of the paper making process.
- Candidates must be able to legally work within Canada at the time of applying for the position and must also be presently residing in Canada.
Your skills and assets:
- Excellent interpersonal skills required, including an ability to work collaboratively within a fast paced and structured environment.
- Good communication skills with excellent strategic thinking skills.
- Demonstrated ability to balance priorities that meet short and long-term objectives; uses organized and efficient work methods.
- Proficient analytical skills required as well as a strong background in MS Office and MS Project.
- The ideal candidate will possess the drive and passion to continuously improve upon the health and safety, efficiency, production, planning and manufacturing and maintenance cost targets.
