Remote Bilingual Business Insight Senior Data Analyst
Position Status: Full-Time - Remote
Location: Canada
Salary: $77,000-$104,00 Cdn
Position Overview:
Acting as trusted advisor to key internal customers, effectively delivering impactful insights, opinions and recommendations on key market & performance trends, opportunities, and threats. Our primary focus will be in applying data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis, and building high quality datasets integrated with our CX program. Support ongoing data discovery, data analysis and performance KPI baseline to drive continuous improvements across the different lines of businesses.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop & publish analysis through Python and PowerBI visualization stack.
Build strong internal customer relationships with colleagues, key stakeholders, and business leaders to proactively understand strategic objectives
Provide trend analysis by using statistic knowledge and provide recommendation on business policies and procedures
Lead business requirements gathering with internal and external partners
Lead on complex causality, scenario analysis within the team
Assist with communications regarding performance results and analysis findings
Research and apply industry benchmarking and metrics, collaborating with the other Business Insights team members to ensure that relevant metrics are included in each report
Synthesizing large amounts of data and identify key trends and present the results in a logical concise manner and effectively communicate results to stakeholders
Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for the building analytical solutions Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis and modeling
Participate in testing and maintenance of data science solutions Assist in the development of automated processes for large scale data analysis
Requirements:
Excellent communication skills both in English and/or French – verbal and written is required.
1 to 3 years of experience as a Data analyst or in a similar role Experience in statistical modelling and machine learning techniques, an asset
Experience with common data science toolkits, such as Scikit learn, Azure ML, R, Weka, NumPy, MatLab, etc., preferred
Designing and implementing data ingestion pipelines from multiple sources using Azure Databricks
Working with event based / streaming technologies to ingest and process data
Understanding of NLP techniques for text representation, semantic extraction techniques, data structures and modeling
Understanding of text representation techniques (such as n-grams, bag of words, sentiment analysis etc.), statistics and classification algorithms
Experience with Security frameworks (e.g., JWT, OATH2)
Proficient in programming languages like JavaScript, Pyspark and Python
Experience in applying data science methods to business problems, preferred
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills particularly those that apply to a big data environment
Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex analytical
Team player with the ability to work independently
Proven ability in exercising initiative, good judgment, and diplomacy concepts to people from other fields
