Director, Cyber Security and Risk Assurance, Brampton, ON

Loblaw has adopted the following Hybrid working model (a combination of working between the office and remotely). Colleagues will continue working remotely up to 2 days a week, while spending the other three days in the office.

We are looking for a collaborative leader to be part of our innovative Cyber Security, Network and Technology Risk team. In this role, you will lead a group of self-motivated and well-respected team members, driving the strategic direction of the organization’s enterprise cyber risk assessment and advisory services. You’ll use your energy and passion to build deep, meaningful relationships with internal teams and further promote our cyber security risk appetite, while getting creative on recommending solutions which balance security and customer experience.

What you will do:
Lead a diverse team in the operation and ongoing maturity of the Cybersecurity Risk Assessment functions for projects, application, and supplier reviews
Act as lead point of contact for critical business groups engaging in security consulting and building deep relationships
Ensure our stakeholders are provided risk guidance in either sourcing 3rd party or designing and implementing internal secure solutions.
Monitor the threat landscape to advise teams on new threats to the organization, while bringing new creative solutions to the table to keep the organization secure
Collaborate with various security and IT delivery teams to ensure the core values of security are embodied in all initiatives
Mentor the Risk Assurance team to grow, develop and foster a strong collaborative team culture

What you bring:
Demonstrated experience leading high performing security teams with a leadership style that prioritizes colleague development
A collaborative/inclusive nature, working with diverse teams, from business leaders to individual contributors and the ability to influence with a sense of urgency, accountability and ownership.
Up-to-date knowledge of issues and trends in Cyber Security, with deep understanding of IT controls and audit approaches for protection of data, and current technologies including cloud
Strong understanding of security risk management principles
Ability and confidence to present ideas in a clear and concise manner while tailoring your communication style and messaging to the various audiences
College or University Degree in computer science, engineering or a related field
Preferred candidates hold relevant certifications like CISSP, CISA, CISM
