Do you want to spend your lunch breaks, working out in our on-site GYM? Reporting to the Proposals and Estimating Coordinator, the Quoting and Estimating
Administrator will be an integral part of the Operations & Business Development team for GFL. The successful incumbent will be responsible to provide accurate and timely support to ensure key operational and business development objectives are met for the region.
Primary responsibilities include:
Directly involved in the bidding & proposal process to ensure compliance with GFL RFP/RFQ requirements and corporate objectives and goals;
Directly involved in the management of current submission processes and target deadlines;
Attend meetings via Skype for proposal kick off and review meetings
Provide summary overview to the management team outlining anticipated profit and risk of Major TA’s and Projects
Drive the functional review of bidding proposals including pro forma development
Provision of Contract Summaries, attend internal contract kick off meetings with Operations, and Finance teams
Provide resources to ensure contract compliance
Gather proposal content from subject matter experts and from past proposals, incorporate and assist in preparing content specific to proposals;
Contribute to the creation and negotiation of industrial services, chemical cleaning and dredging/dewatering contracts to ensure relevant and realistic contract commitments;
Extensive review, drafting of rates and adjustments; to ensure operations and the business as a whole understand the financial implications
Assist in the Operations bidding process for ad hoc quoting and development
Support final pricing and packaging of all financial data to complete Non-contractual proposals in conjunction with BD and Operations
Enter all data into the company wide CRM
Develop Documents and Partake in Stewardship / KPI review meetings with Clients
Support Operations to understand contract pricing rules and minimize leakage once contracts are finalized
Incorporate Subcontractor pricing into the pro forma identifying anticipated profit
Support Administration Personnel supporting operations with Cost Estimates
Develop PowerPoint Presentations for internal and external meetings
Special projects as assigned
Minimum qualifications include:
Post-Secondary education with a focus on Finance and/or Accounting or a 2-4 years Industrial Cleaning specific experience relating to bidding, proposal development and contracts management;
2-4 years Industrial Cleaning specific experience relating to bidding, proposal development and contracts management;
Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with a high attention to detail and experience producing and developing highly professional presentations, proposals and quotations;
Ability to manage complex projects;
Advanced knowledge using Microsoft Office, CRM technology and finance programs;
Proven ability to produce high quality work while facing competing priorities and strict deadlines;
Strong attention to detail and time management skills;
Ability to make sound decisions under minimal supervision;
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
