What you will do:
Provides quantification and analysis of exposures to commodity risk, interest rate risk, foreign exchange risk and equity risk using our risk system and other analytical tools.
Supervises and prepares the quarterly and annual financial disclosure information as required by Corporate Accounting. Provides the point of contact for Accounting, related to verifying press release and financial data for Corporate derivative activities.
Guides the quantification of improvements for Cash Flow at Risk (CFaR) and interest rate Float/Total metrics.
Identifies risk elements, works together with IT to build modeling solutions for corporate market risk exposures.
Reviews risk system (OpenLink) and the valuation inputs including price curve, volatility and correlation data analysis.
Delivers risk and accounting expertise and leadership to get results of Risk Control system projects involving cross-functional groups impacting internal and external financial reporting.
Who you are:
Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, or math with a designation (CFA or CPA preferred).
10+ years of financial institution, energy marketing back office or equivalent relevant experience is preferred.
Experience with financial derivative markets, MTM, OpenLink (risk system), financial reporting and hedge accounting.
Strong financial modeling skills and data analysis techniques using Microsoft Excel and other automation tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain financial modeling results in operational terms.
