Senior Director, Loyalty Vendor Management

We are hiring a Senior Director of Loyalty Vendor Management.

As the Senior Director, Loyalty Vendor Management, you will help define and execute the long-term strategy for engaging with our vendors and manage a portfolio of Centre of Store, HABA and Fresh category vendors. We are looking for a truly exceptional strategic and sales-minded professional to grow our Vendor Loyalty and Data business and drive revenue growth. In this role, you will work closely with external category vendors to determine what loyalty offerings are best suited to help achieve their ambitions to drive customer loyalty for their brands.

What you’ll do:

Develop the overall category vendor strategy that is aligned with the PC Optimum and Loblaw enterprise strategy, and lead its execution
Lead all commercial aspects of the category vendor loyalty relationships including contract negotiations, strategy, and ongoing support
Cultivate lasting relationships with external vendors and establish a cadence of vendor performance reviews, i.e., monthly and or quarterly with account managers and vendors
Define and plan integrated vendor programs by leveraging all assets and channels to optimize and grow vendor revenue
Establish contract management objectives, procedures, templates and workflow processes for vendor contracts and deliverable schedules, including tracking obligations and changes
Manage the P&L for Vendor Loyalty and Data to deliver on the annual financial plan and key performance indicators
Lead a team responsible for executing vendor loyalty activities. Serve as coach to the team and an escalation point, provide troubleshooting and reconciliation of both internal and external escalations
Collaborate with numerous functions across Loblaw enterprise – including data and insights, marketing, legal operations, finance, media, and others – to successfully execute the Vendor Loyalty and Data program
Partner with related product management teams to identify opportunities for growth and improvement (including offering, experience, and analytics) to the loyalty program and vendor data product
Provide leadership to ensure a high performing team with appropriate skills and capacity required to enable the organization’s objectives with the goal of enabling customer centric decision making
Tightly coupled working relationship with the Loblaw Media team.

Does this sound like you?

University degree in business, marketing, math/science, and/or engineering; MBA is an asset
10+ years of experience in loyalty, retail, or CPG, with a focus on vendor relationship management and analytics
Exceptional business development and selling skills to build lasting relationships external category vendors
Strong planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills to drive towards data-driven decisions
Experience managing P&L, setting and exceeding targets in a cross-functional, matrixed environment
Proven people management, leadership, storytelling, and presentation skills
Self-starter, ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced work environment
Shows strong initiative as a thinker, taking independent actions and calculated risks
The ability to navigate and collaborate through complex opportunities
Passionate about loyalty and retail with customer-centric and partner-centric ideas
Ability to adapt to constantly changing, agile environment
Have a passion for the work we do and a curiosity to find new solutions.
