The Opportunity
Provide excellent customer service highlighted with great communication. Manage and coordinate daily / weekly work schedule for technicians to meet customer deadline requirements. Seek technical guidance and literature to aid technicians in executing repairs. Manage and ensure repair, financial and business processes are adhered to. Ensure all aspects of the service center are operating at optimum levels by continuously improving.
The Role
- Handle customer inquiries related to service, repair, and technical issues.
- Determine the priority and specifications of jobs and assign according to employee capabilities. Monitor job progress and status
- Ensure that CoE and other business processes / compliance paperwork is maintained up-to-date and is completed and turned in, in a timely fashion.
- Responsible to ensure that employees have the materials and parts they need to perform their duties
- Ensure that employees are using their time efficiently and adhering to quoted repair times
- Provide guidance whether to re-use or order parts
- Compiles all repair reports, labour estimates and quotations as per SOP
Commercial
- Determine customer requirements and expectations to recommend specific products and solutions.
- Recommend alternative products based on cost, availability, or specifications.
- Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sales items.
- Respond to customers via phone, fax or email for quotes, purchases, etc. in a timely manner
- Can negotiate skillfully in all situations with both internal and external groups and can be both direct and forceful as well as diplomatic
- Recognizes and builds networks or working relationships with others who can provide information, support, knowledge and experience in response to current and future needs.
Additional Responsibilities
- Report the progress on all jobs to the Regional Service Manager
- Participate in tool box meetings.
- Perform various additional duties, as required.
The Candidate
- Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years of in a Inside Sales, technical or parts role, previous interaction with maintenance teams. Customer service experience, preferably in industrial maintenance and repair.
- Education: Red Seal Millwright / Parts Technician or equivalent; or relevant industry experience; College diploma or equivalent and advantage
- Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic equipment, components and repairs. General knowledge of industrial goods and equipment.
- Proficiency: Intermediate level of knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience with MS AX Dynamics and advantage
