LIBURDI TURBINE SERVICES™ offers a wide range of engineering services and component repairs in support of the gas turbine industry for both aero derivative and industrial frame engines through facilities located both in Dundas, Ontario and Mooresville, North Carolina. The company specializes in the use of advanced technologies for the refurbishment of super alloy components.
We are currently seeking a qualified Quality Specialist who will be responsible for supporting the development, maintenance and implementation of Liburdi Turbine Services quality policies and processes.
We have one (1) position available on our day shift, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm.
Typical Duties Include (but are not limited to):
- Support the continued maintenance and implementation of ISO 9001, AS9100, Transport Canada Authorized Maintenance Organization Quality Management Systems and additional quality programs.
- Maintain and improve quality system documentation to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements
- Assess and approve internal specifications and documentation
- Compile and report Key Performance Indicators
- Instructional material development and training delivery of quality related subject matter
- Participate in the design review and engineering change notice process
- Vendor qualification, monitoring
- Monitor and support calibration, metrology and inspection activities (including NDT)
- Support Nonconforming Material, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action processes engaging multi-disciplined teams
- Perform internal audits and support in external audits
- Perform measurement systems and statistical analyses
- Continually seek and develop quality process and continuous improvement opportunities
Key Skill Requirements:
- Ability to understand, interpret and communicate technical specifications
- Advanced capabilities with data collection, analysis and reporting
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Aptitude to positively interact with all organization functional areas and levels to achieve collaboration with quality activities
Key Education / Experience Requirements:
- University Degree or College Diploma in the Quality Assurance Field is required
- Minimum 5 years experience in an ISO 9001 / AS9100 manufacturing or processing environment is required
- Auditor Training from a recognized training provider is required
- Proficient with Microsoft Applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint is required
- Proficient with Sharepoint required
- Experience with Nadcap and Transport Canada are an asset
