About the Opportunity
We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic full-time Account Executive to join our team in Kitchener, ON (hybrid). You will need to be prepared to travel to various locations and work varying hours as required. All work may be subject to relevant COVID-19 protocols as required by each client.
Reporting to the President, you will work directly with clients, our internal team of creative and production professionals, and the senior management team on internal marketing and sales plans, as well as digital media strategies. You will be responsible for developing and managing leads and opportunities through multiple channels and marketing efforts, as well as through direct consultative engagement with prospective clients (from identifying and qualifying to introductory calls to closing deals). You will also work to identify the needs of different markets and prospective clients while working with our team to develop pitches and proposals that exceed client expectations and goals.
Your duties will also include, but are not limited to:
Coordinating with the senior management team to research, identify, analyze, and execute marketing and new business development initiatives, as well as, effectively communicating our offerings through our various marketing and sales channels to reach revenue goals
Proactively searching for new prospective clients and markets; identifying the opportunities and growing the overall lead generation pipeline (including cold calling)
Efficiently managing marketing and sales activities through accurate and effective input of information in our CRM system
Consistently demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines, maintain marketing performance indicators, and achieve sales targets
Prospecting for and engaging with potential new clients (evaluating, negotiating, and closing sales)
Driving digital marketing strategies and initiatives on social media and related ad platforms for the company and our clients
Developing and providing detailed reports on sales, and marketing the data from various platforms and/or systems (providing insights into new trends and opportunities)
Collaborating with our internal teams to continually align our strategy, creative, production, and service offerings with market trends and opportunities
Leading and collaborating with our team to develop sales and marketing collateral to help increase awareness and drive revenue
Representing our team in a positive and professional manner at all times
About You
To qualify, you'll need 3-5+ years of successful sales and closing experience in Canada and/or the US. as part of a creative or media production agency or marketing department, and 1-2+ years of digital marketing experience, including social media and related ad platforms. You also possess post-secondary education in a related field (marketing, business, etc.). Class G driver's license and the ability to travel to locations not served by public transportation are required.
The following skills and experience are also required:
Strong knowledge of Sales and Marketing methods and tools, including the development of marketing plans, sales plans, quotes, and project briefs
Knowledge and experience in executing both traditional and digital communications projects in a creative agency, production company, or internal marketing department
A self-motivated mindset and attention to detail, with the ability to work equally well independently and as part of a diverse team
Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to multitask and prioritize multiple competing projects and tasks
Ability to think strategically from a marketing perspective and to work within a variety of timeframes
Strong customer service, relationship management, and teamwork skills
Ability to understand and respond well to feedback and criticism as well as demonstrate collaborative problem-solving skills
Proficient in working with email and productivity software (MS Office, Google Workspace, etc.)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English (Bilingual in French is considered an asset, but not required)
