Our services include emergency food and clothing; daily hot meals; emergency shelters for men, youth, families, women and children; transitional housing and education for homeless and street-involved youth; hospice palliative care; community mental health programs; and supportive housing programs. *Job Description*
In this role, you will work to make a difference in the lives of tenants living at McGinty House.
· Provide tenants with primary case management and community resources
· Services to tenants include assessment & planning
· Provide crisis prevention and intervention and supportive counseling
· Demonstrate commitment to the Good Shepherd mission values of Hospitality, Responsibility, Availability, Adaptability, Quality and Dignity
*Qualifications*
· A post-secondary education in social or health services
· A minimum of three years’ experience in mental health, and concurrent disorders is required
· 'Recovery orientation' and 'consumer driven' style of practice is essential
· Possess the ability to work independently and think creatively
· Ability to speak French and/or other languages considered an asset
· CPR certification or willingness to be certified is required
· Adhere to working and operating within an anti-racism and anti-oppression framework
*Hours of Work*: Rotating schedule that includes days, evenings, nights and one weekend every five weeks.
