Our Pharmacy team at our Central office drives the strategy and service planning for our store pharmacies, to ensure our patients get the best and most innovative services to help them with their healthcare needs.
We help ensure Shoppers remains a leader in retail pharmacy, innovating new product and service offerings on a national and provincial stage, setting strategy, taking smart risks and responsibility for our recommendations, and getting things done.

Shoppers Drug Mart (SMD) is looking to hire a Business Analyst Student (Fall term) within our Health Solutions Team within the Pharmacy Division to assist in our Project and Administrative work, Marketing, Planning and Execution. The Student will assist with product management, operations and events as part of the Drug Plan Management solutions and health and wellness programs with employer customers. The Student will work with internal partners and some external stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
What You’ll Do:
• Support the design and implementation of innovative pharmacy products for employers
• Manage Drug formulary DIN list for traditional and specialty products
• Health Solutions website content updates including prior authorization forms
• Support our client services function in analytics for drug-related programs & pricing, performance reviews, prospective modelling
• Support and participate in administrative work supporting our various products in market including preparing power point presentations
• Support our customer service accounts for HealthWATCH Drug Plan, PharmaExpert, Drug Submissions, etc.
• Work to create and execute timelines for all marketing related tactics to support these products
• Execute content distribution strategy and support PR effort
• Responsible for special projects
• Assume other tasks and responsibilities as assigned
What You’ll Need:
• Working towards a post-secondary education in a related field; such as healthcare, business, or project management
• Ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Must be comfortable working with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
