*Compensation & Hours: *
· The rate of pay will be $20/hr.
· Various shifts, including days, weekends, nights & holidays
*Position Summary: *
· Answer, report and follow Executive Chef’s instructions
· Review the daily production sheets with the Executive Chef
· Prepare food to the chef’s specifications and set up stations for the menu
· Keep all workstations clean & organized
· Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers
· Ensure opening & closing procedures are carried out to standard
· Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, preparing sauces)
· Always operate all kitchen equipment with safety in mind.
· Ensure all food products are handled, stored, prepared and served safely in accordance with hotel and government Food Safety Guidelines
· Report any deficiencies in kitchen equipment functionality and quality of food products to the Executive chef in a timely fashion
· Stock and track inventory, creating a list of food products for the Executive Chef to order
· Ensure a clean and safe working environment, and actively participate in Health & Safety activities
· Ensure quality food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
* Keep overproduction and food waste to a minimum, ensures proper rotation, labeling and storing of food to reduce food cost expense
*Required Qualifications: *
· High School Diploma or Equivalent
· Valid Food Handler Certificate
· Minimum 2 years cooking experience
· Ability to pass Criminal Record Check
· Experience in both a la carte and production cooking
· Demonstrate initiative and able to work with minimal supervision
· Ability to maintain a high service level in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
· Quick Learner
· Ability to adapt to various environments
· Ability to multi-task
· Basic written and verbal communication skills
· Organized
· Execute tasks maintaining speed and accuracy
· Ability to work various shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

· Previous Line Cook experience
