Lifeworks is searching for passionate clinicians to help deliver its internet-based cognitive behavioural therapy program, AbilitiCBT https://myicbt.com/homeJoining our team means providing even more Canadians with the mental health support they need through a consumer-grade platform, accessible from any device. In your role as an AbilitiCBT therapist, you will offer clinical guidance through phone, video or messaging as users work through structured CBT modules featuring videos, educational content, and exercises
Reporting to the Clinical Supervisor of iCBT, you will offer interactive cognitive behavioral therapy (iCBT) to a varied clientele on a digital platform. After an initial assessment conducted over the phone or through video, you will assign structured CBT modules to the client. Your responsibility will be to monitor and respond to their answers, and support the client as they progress through modules featuring videos, educational content and exercises.

Responsibilities:
- Work with our clinical team to onboard and learn the process of AbilitiCBT and how to administer the product most effectively
- Once scheduled, you will contact clientele by phone to initiate the process, develop and document an understanding of their mental health condition and the factors that support or inhibit recovery as well as reviewing relevant history and reviewing safety factors and consent form review
- Assess risk and severity with the use of assessment tools
- Provide any of the following interventions if required:
- More in-depth assessment
- Referral to additional psychiatric/psychological, step-up or emergency services
- All other related tasks.
- Provide follow-up of case files using the provided clinical models
- Provide quality clinical services and follow case management protocols
Qualifications and skills required:
- Master's degree in Social Work or Ph.D. or equivalent in Psychology
- Registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers (OCSWSSW) or the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO) is mandatory
- 5 years post-graduate counselling experience in a mental health or disability management setting
- Certificate, significant graduate training or course in CBT - asset
- Experience assigning and treating an adult population with clinical depression, anxiety disorders, grief and loss, social anxiety, post-partum, OCD, pain management and trauma
- Training in substance use disorders and Trauma is an asset
- A clinical based cognitive-behavioral model approach expertise
- Bilingualism in English and Spanish either written or oral is an asset
- Aptitude and/or experience to manage crisis or high-risk situations (suicidal or homicidal thoughts, domestic violence, child protection, public protection)
- Capacity to evaluate an addiction and co-morbid conditions is an asset
- Computer skills (Over the phone and web-based, video-conferencing)
- Reliable high-speed internet is required.
- Quiet, private setting in which to initiate phone calls or video calls with client for their initial intake
