We are growing! AGF Rebar Inc. is presently seeking a Millwright (Maintenance Mechanic) at our Calgary location for the day shift (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM).
Pay: From $28.00 to $35.00 per hour!

Main Job Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Shop Supervisor, the Maintenance Mechanic assures preventive maintenance on machinery within the shop and makes the necessary repairs. The incumbent of the position is responsible and accountable for (but not limited to) the following:
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to set schedules, for all machinery & equipment;
- Advise supervisor regarding equipment state and proposed changes in schedule;
- Perform necessary repairs to for shop equipment and facilities, according to Repair Requests and supervisor’s prioritization;
- Document, store and archive records of purchase and work performed;
- Research and recommend external contractors for work that needs outsource;
- Responsible for the Lock-out / Tag-out process as implemented;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Acting in compliance with AGF – Rebar Inc.’s Health & Safety policies in accordance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience in similar position;
- Good knowledge of all shop tools and equipment;
- Read and interpret diagrams and work drawings;
- Plan inspection and repair work and build estimates of materials required;
- Strong time management and organizational skills;
- Good communication skills;
- Ability to utilize independent judgement in the daily performance of job duties;
- Reliable;
- Able to lift up to 50lbs.
