Under the responsibility of the Director of Sales (Western Canada), the position holder fulfills the responsibilities linked to sales and market development of the TSIS and FCIS divisions for Western Canada
Main tasks and responsibilities of the position :
- Represents the company for a specific clientele (consultants, engineers, industrials, architects, construction professionals, suppliers, laboratories etc.);
- Informs and educates clientele and proposes equivalents of specifications to appear in civil, commercial and industrial construction projects;
- Develops new relationships and solidifies existing ones with professionals in order to ensure that Mapei products appear in specifications according to the objectives assigned to him;
- Develops and manages his territory, including the sales budget attached according to the company’s objectives.
- Proposes special presentations of our current products and launches new products;
- Gives training on our products, communicates and solves customer technical questions in order to influence their purchases;
- Works closely with our TSIS and FCIS specialists (sales, technical services) and communicates with TSIS and FCIS product lines manager;
- Sales, project development and follow up activities are performed on a regular basis;
- Reviews sales and activities of development in his territory and reports to management;
- Does any other related tasks;
- 5 years experience in sales, customer service in a similar industry and environment or experience in the applying of tile and flooring products
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or similar field, an asset
- Good knowledge of our industry and our products
- Good knowledge of quality standards
- Has the ability to do product trainings at a professional level
- Valid driver’s license
- Very good communication and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook is a must
- Courtesy and discernment
