CPA Ontario is currently in search of a Partnerships Manager who will manage our portfolio of corporate and community partnerships and subsequent activities, ensuring they deliver impact and value for our stakeholders, while supporting the advancement of key topics critical to our profession. As a key member of the broader Communications & Sustainability team, you will also play an important role in other projects that support the business unit’s strategic priorities, from thought leadership to stakeholder engagement activities and events. 

In this role, you will work cross-functionally with multiple business units including Marketing, Communications, EDI, Public Policy, and Member & Student Experience. Being a relationship builder, collaborator, and communicator will drive you to connect the needs of a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders to support partnership goals and strengthen CPA Ontario’s reputation and brand.  

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Managing and nurturing relationships with corporate and community partners by developing, negotiating, and tailoring multifaceted corporate sponsorship programs to align with CPA Ontario’s purpose and strategy.
  • Maximizing the impact of our partnerships through strategically considering brand positioning, public relations, corporate reputation, earned media, government relations, and employee engagement.
  • Driving the execution of partnerships based on strategic priorities by developing key sponsorship deliverables such as speaker remarks, social media assets, pre-event briefs, communications, and partnership impact reports.
  • Working with internal business units and stakeholders to monitor emerging trends and topics to bring forward new concepts, ideas, and approaches to strengthen CPA Ontario’s partnerships strategy.
  • Supporting various cross-functional initiatives and projects under the Communications & Sustainability portfolio including Research & Thought Leadership activities, Member events, and ESG initiatives.
Who You Are:
  • A post-secondary graduate with a degree or diploma in business, marketing, communications, or related field with 5 or more years of partnerships and program management experience, preferably with large organizations, professional associations, or consulting firms.
  • Experienced in developing and executing stakeholder programs and strategically linking programs to business needs to deliver greater impact on business and societal issues.
  • A strong personable relationship builder and communicator with excellent customer service skills and experience consulting with senior executives and working cross functionally.
  • Digitally fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience working with marketers, graphic designers, content creators, event planners, creative agencies, etc.
  • A strong negotiator with prior experience working with legal teams on contract development.
  • An analytical individual with an ability to manage budgets, measure effectiveness, and deliver recommendations using data and analysis.
