Yorktown Family Services (YFS) is a fully accredited community service agency comprised of an infant, child, and youth mental health centre; a women’s shelter and community-based violence against women services; and an integrated services site offering rapid access to multiple mental health, primary health, and social service programs for youth and young adults. For over 25 years Yorktown has been providing immediate access to a wide range of services in Toronto’s most vulnerable communities to support and equip women, children, youth, young adults and families to create positive change in their lives.
We are seeking a skilled individual to supervise our West Toronto Youth Wellness Hub Ontario (WT-YWHO) site and all related social programs.

Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day operations of West Toronto Youth Wellness Hub Programs; including oversight for Youth Mentorship, Connect 4, Hey Girl, PreVenture, Rainbow West, and all social programming within the WT-YWHO
- Oversee and support the Youth Advisory Council for WT-YWHO
- Supervision for Youth Mentorship staff, Rainbow West staff and Youth Advisory Peer Mentor staff
- Will oversee the scheduling of the Rapid Access Walk-in for the WT-YWHO
- Oversee and provide financial support for West Toronto Youth Wellness Hub programs
- Work with Manager to support staff in their roles to provide direct client services
- Develop outreach strategy with West Toronto Youth Wellness Hub Team and Manager following youth engagement principles
- Collaborate with another programs at Yorktown to build pathways between services to ensure youth are receiving access to all services
- Support with community engagement strategy
- Oversee and Support with WT-YWHO building operations
- Support staff and ensure all P&P is being followed and data management responsibilities are being completed.
- Communicate with the management team and our communications team to ensure program promotion is online
- CYW/CYC diploma/degree, Social Service Worker diploma/degree preferred or exceptional experience working frontline programs with people with mental health and social health barriers (6-8 years)
- Proven experience in organizational management supervision or leadership, preferably in a unionized setting.
- Excellent communication (oral and written), organizational, and leadership skills
- Knowledge of community resources.
- Experience working with BIPOC communities in Toronto.
- Understanding of trauma both at a systemic, community, and individual level
- Understands anti-black racism and anti-oppressive frameworks and implementation within engagement practice
- General background and understanding of child/youth development
- Commitment to effective outcomes, best practices, evidence-informed and/or based services, and continuous quality improvement
- Able to critical think and have awareness of emotional intelligence
- Strong presentation and writing skills
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships within and across an organization and with community partners
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and inter-disciplinary work environment
- Current (6 months or less) Vulnerable Sector Search an asset
