Responsibilities:

• Process referrals from youth workers and determine victim involvement; contact victim, meet with victim as appropriate to determine RJ program needed

• Maintain complete and accurate Youth Justice Committee (YJC) member database as per ministry guidelines

• Conduct evaluation of YJC Meetings and volunteers as required by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS)

• Coordinate, organize and attend YJC volunteer meetings along with CJPAC

• Coordinate, organize and attend YJC training events along with CJPAC

• Coordinate, organize and attend volunteer appreciation during Volunteer Week and December holiday along with CJPAC

• Maintain and ensure accuracy and completion of statistical reporting

• May be required to attend police services presentations

• Facilitate psycho-educational programs

Education/Experience:

• Degree or diploma in youth work, social work, social service work, sociology, criminology, psychology, volunteer management or equivalent in training and experiences

• Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Check  an asset

• Current certificate in First Aid and CPR an asset

• Valid driver license and vehicle
