AGENCY SUMMARY
Women’s Habitat of Etobicoke (WHE) is a feminist, multi-service, community-based organization in South Etobicoke, serving diverse women* and their dependents experiencing violence and poverty since 1978. In 2006, WHE opened an outreach centre to respond to the increasing needs for services for victims and survivors of domestic violence.
WHE offers transformational services and programs in two distinct locations to address the impact of violence and poverty on women and their dependents which includes, safety audits, safety planning, trauma-informed crisis and ongoing counseling services, housing support services, advocacy and referrals to settlement and community resources, as well as skills and capacity building for promoting healthy relationships and prevention of gender-based violence.

JOB SUMMARY
The Systems Change Project Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the planning, execution, and delivery of the Changing Workplace Culture: Building a Culture of Equity through Trauma- Informed project. This role involves coordinating activities, resources, and information to ensure projects run smoothly and are completed on time and within budget. The Systems Change Project Coordinator will co-design and deliver training, conduct research on policies related to gender equity, gender-based violence and engage stakeholders with lived expertise.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Changing Workplace Culture: Building a Culture of Equity through Trauma- Informed Project goal is to promote and achieve systemic change in gender norms and attitudes as well as policies and practices within the labor market. The objectives include:
○ To change the workplace culture by building capacity of employers
○ To create safe workplaces for women that are trauma-informed, Anti-Racist/Anti-Oppressive and Equity informed
○ To increase opportunities for women to enter and succeed in predominately male workplace environments.
○ To support employers with tools to analyze data related to gender and other diversity factors within the workplace
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In collaboration and under the guidance of the Executive Director:
○ Work with researcher to develop an environmental scan
○ Conduct policy research and analysis
○ Develop project eligibility criteria for project participants
○ Develop engagement communication strategies
○ Develop project frameworks, assessments, policies, education and training program content
○ Works with external evaluator to develop the Evaluation Plan
○ Participate in project outreach activities
○ Participate in the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the project
○ Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
○ Ensure project activities are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
○ Report and escalate issues to the Executive Director as needed.
○ Manage the relationship with the project participants and other relevant stakeholders.
○ Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
○ Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
○ Assist in resource allocation and management.
○ Other duties as required
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPECTATIONS:
- Post-secondary degree in Project Management, Political Science, Gender Studies, Policy & Research or a related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of equity and gender-based violence issues.
- Awareness of trauma-informed, harm reduction, feminist, anti-oppression, anti-racist principles and frameworks and the demonstrated ability to incorporate them in all aspects of their work.
- Awareness of trauma and its impact.
- Knowledge and application of the intersections of colonialism, oppression and marginalization and experiences of trauma.
- Proven working experience in project coordination and/or management.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and facilitating training including: proficiency in relevant training methodologies, curriculum development
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills including follow up and follow through skills.
- Strong technical/computer competencies including Microsoft Office, Survey Monkey, social media and presentation tools.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset.
- Familiarity with project management software tools and methodologies.

- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
- May be required to travel and work weekends and or evenings

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 30 months
Pay: $29.67-$31.31 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
