Specialist, Research and Innovation (Scientific and International Engagement) 

• Reporting to the Manager, Research and Innovation, the Specialist will work closely with the Director, Research and Innovation and Program Manager, Canadian Cancer Research Alliance (CCRA).  

• The Specialist is a key member of the Research and Innovation team; a team that promotes cancer research across Canada as well as driving the adoption of innovative approaches. 

• The team leads activities scanning international and academic best practice and supports this work through our role as the Secretariat of the CCRA. 

• The Specialist will play a leading role engaging with the CCRA board members for the successful delivery of the Canadian Cancer Research Conference in November 2025. 

Who You Are 

• You are a seasoned professional with a strong passion for cancer research. You are comfortable utilizing your exceptional relationship skills to engage partners, researchers, organizations and stakeholders in cancer research and/or cancer control. 

• You have strong experience in supporting the implementation of large, multifaceted learning initiatives and meetings. 

• You have a high degree of self-motivation, adaptability, and agility, along with the ability to drive projects within an evolving context. 

• You are a leader of projects and events, and you are willing to roll-up your sleeves to help ensure that the work gets done!
